4 Quick-Access Buttons

Telescopic Thread Stand
The built-in telescopic thread stand ensures that your thread is feeding smoothly. Simply place your thread on the spool pin, slide the thread through the thread mast eyelet from front to back, and continue threading through the following thread guides.

Located on the side of the QM18 is a built-in USB port. Occasionally, Janome will release software updates for your machine that allow you to utilize the most recent features. When an update is due, use a computer connected to the internet to download the updated file to a USB drive. Safely remove the USB from the computer and into the USB port on your machine. From the main menu screen on your machine, select "Update".
Two Stitch Modes
The Janome QM18 offers two stitch modes: Cruise and Precise.
Cruise: Cruise mode is helpful for continuous, smooth, or curvy designs. It does the same as precise mode, except the machine will continue to stitch in place (at the minimum speed) if you stop moving the machine.
Precise: In the default precise mode, you select the stitch length you want, and the machine will adjust to help make more consistent stitches. It only stitches when you move the machine, which aids with patterns that have corners or crisp points.
Convenient Magnetic Storage
Handy magnets are located on both sides of the LCD screen to keep pins, scissors, etc., within reach.
8' ProFrame
