Choose from a selection of utility and decorative stitches on your machine. Piece quilts, design clothes, and add decorative topstitching with the 23 built-in stitches. Add buttonholes to pants, shirts, jackets, and more with the one-step buttonhole feature.
Thanks to the 725S top-loading bobbin system, you can quickly and efficiently change your bobbin thread. After winding the bobbin, drop it in the case, then run the thread through the front notch of the holder and slide it between the tension spring blades until the thread slips into the side notch, and you are ready to sew!
To access the free arm, remove the sewing bed. This narrow arm is a great tool to have when sewing cylindrical items such as jeans and sleeves or hemming.
The high presser foot lifter is a must-have for sewing thick fabrics, like jeans and tweed, but also essential for sewing thick quilts and soft fleece.

I’m new at sewing and specifically quilting. After borrowing my friend’s machine and not loving it I was recommended this brand. I didn’t want to spend a lot so I chose a pretty basic machine. I love this machine. It’s solid. The needle threader is a snap. It’s smooth and makes my sewing easy. It doesn’t budge on my table. I look forward to making tons of things with this machine.

I am a hobby garment sewist and purchased this to replace my Elna 2004 from 1996. I am so pleased with this machine! I love that it has a needle threader and drop-in bobbin. I wasn't sure about needing a dial to control the presser foot, but I have already used it to reduce tunneling while using a double needle on jersey knit. My old machine was not sewing the stretch stitches correctly, and after having it serviced once, decided to finally replace my trusty Elna. I did not want a computerized sewing machine because I don't need all those features and I didn't want to have to deal with the potential repairs. I enjoy sewing with this machine so much, and highly recommend if you want a mechanical sewing machine that is reliable and reasonable priced.
