I put it together all by myself. It took me 15 hrs give or take. I used the instruction manual and YouTube videos for help. I was a little intimated by the instruction for the hydraulic lift but it was a piece of cake. If I can do it you can too! I have sooooo much storage now and it looks great in my sewing room.
Easy to put together once I drilled the pre-marked holes. It was hard to get those tiny screws to screw in on their own, but once I pre drilled the marks they went in easily. I love my finished cabinet. It is perfect!
I absolutely love this desk. The directions were perfect and everything lined up perfectly. My 1/4 in seam is so much better.
I bought the teak set and it looks great. Went together easily with good directions, although it did take time and two of us but every hole is where it’s supposed to be. Looks great in my small sewing area. Looking forward to getting everything how I want it.
Great table extra sewing space absolutely love, just a little hard to put together
I am missing support arms and hinges for the drop down table. I called and was told they would be shipped to me. The table was a challenge to put together. Fortunately my husband is mechanical even so it took 3days with a total of 8 hours to get it together with me reading instructions and handing screws ect to him. Even with the 8 hours of work I love the table! It is well made and well designed. I will be enjoying it for many years!
The only problem I have is that there is a 3/8” gap between my Qe750 Bernina and the flat table when it should be completely level. I’m trying to figure out how to raise up my machine so that it will be level with the table,
Still putting together only have the drawer and the caddy to complete, so far loving the gray and how easy it goes together.
Chips present on delivery. Customer service will replace part. However, during assembly further chips - even with caution and keeping parts protected with cardboard and other packing materials Drawers don’t close easily and are uneven. Soft close mechanism is not accurate- not like soft close kitchen or bath cabinets. I chose the electric lift mechanism which works well. Seems overall sturdy but for price paid not the quality I had hoped for. Would not recommend at this price.
Clear instructions. A couple of the cam screws did not thread correctly but enough extra were in the kit so not a big deal. I got the version with the electric lift. Definitely need two pairs of hands to do this part. While the instructions to not call for it there is a drilled hole for a dowel between the middle support panel and top of table, put one in to keep it in place when aligning the lift on the guides. Lift easy to program. Due to handling by courier one corner damaged but not so much it impacted use/fit of the components. Overall pleased, easy to move and use the expansion leaves/supports.

I love my new cabinet. I was able to eliminate my cutting table by using the leaf on the Kangaroo cabinet. Definite win. Gave me more space in my sewing room. Love it.

It's nice. 3 people, 3 hours and it's set. Not all that bad. Had I seen it set up in my room prior to spending that kind of money, I would have taken a pass. I doubt a sewist had a hand in the design. *The drawer to the left is rendered unusable when it is topped with the cover. *Also, when that drawer cover is on, it leaves only 27" of seating space to move in. Very tight. *The space from the front to the back wall is 20". I'm only 5' tall, and when seated, I cannot stretch out my legs. It's even worse when my sewing machine is down. Then my shins are continuously bumping into the lowered platform. So, bottom line, I would not buy the Kangaroo and Joey combination again. It appears solid. It's heavy. A couple of strong people can put it together in an evening. The pieces are too heavy for one, imho. I've had to do a workaround to make it even a tad usable for me. I'm sure it's fine for some. Just be forwarded of the shortcomings.
Perfect, well made, love the insert
I Love My New Sewing cabinet…kangaroo, Joey, and kiwi! (I didn’t submit a picture because I’m still in the process of moving in.) My epic 2 barely fits. I have to watch it carefully as it goes down, sliding it a fraction to the left after bottom clears. I had an assembler come and put it together. Too much for me to tackle!
I’ve had no regrets over this purchase, am thrilled with how easy it has made sewing my quilts. A friend with years of quilting experience ordered one after she checked mine out and she’s just as pleased.

This is my second sewing cabinet made by this company. My first one I’ve had for close to 20 years and it’s still like new. Only problem was my newest machine is too large to fit. They are made solid and very durable. I love it!!
The kangaroo& Joey are the perfect answer for my sewing room and quilting. Instructions for assembly were very straightforward. It expands for generous working space yet is nicely compact when the Joey is tucked in the kangaroo cabinet. I feel it is a good value for the good quality of the cabinet and parts. Very happy with this purchase!
This went together better than expected. Great item.
Instructions are spot-on, product is robust and ingenious, and outcome is stunning. There are even extras for each component, so when that screw disappears under the fridge, don’t despair. I have exactly one complaint…..the cam bolts and their receivers need a bit more machining as they were super tight to screw in. All in all, a superb product!
