Bought this because a groove got worn in plastic and was catching when I had it on Zigzag stitch. Got this and works great but found out they make one in metal that won't do that. Would have liked to have bought that one so we won't have to replace again.

My wife and I have an online business and we have been using our trusty Viking sewing machines relentlessly. I finally noticed some strange noise and operation coming from the bobbin area and after a thorough examination, I ordered a new bobbin case and voile, the noise went away immediately.

This replaces the original bobbin case that cracked. The plastic on this bobbin case is slightly thinner than the original, which leads me to believe it will be even less durable than the original. This is disappointing, especially because at $30, they are not cheap. I would expect better quality for the price.
