King Tut Cotton Quilting Thread, 2000yds Details

Product Description

King Tut Thread is the gold standard of quilting thread. It's composed of extra-long staple Egyptian cotton, making it virtually lint-free. When sewing with King Tut Thread, you'll be amazed at its lack of memory, thereby resisting unwanted tangling and knotting.

King Tut Thread is available in over one hundred different colors. Each 2000-yard spool is variegated in precisely one-inch increments. 40wt, 3 ply. Perfect for quilting by hand and on both home sewing machines and long-arm quilting machines.

I bought fabric for a quilt a while ago and thought the Karnak thread would be perfect but put off getting the thread. Now it is apparently discontinued. I was so lucky to find it here. Thank goodness.

The color matches the theme of the wall hanging perfectly. Also, my Elna (Janome) machine (named 'Arnold') really likes this thread. 😊

King Tut is my favorite quilting thread. No other brand seems to have color blends that match my finished pieces like theirs. Yes, it is a little linty but the results make it all worth the extra machine cleaning.

Thread was fine once it arrived, however it took almost a month to get to me. I did, finally, get a notice that there were problems but not until 3 wks after the order. If you need something right away, CALL and make sure it is in stock.

Excellent quality and great colour selection. I work with natural fibres and this perfectly fits the bill. The frequency of the colour changes in the variegated colours prevents great long stretches of a single colour and blends beautifully.
