Koala's handmade acrylic sewing machine inserts for your particular sewing machine are made to produce a flush working surface. All Koala sewing cabinets, both active and decommissioned, are compatible with these inserts. When mounted, the acrylic table provides a comfortable workspace for sewing with a free arm. The insert closes the spaces, resulting in straighter stitches, less fatigue, and an improved stitching experience overall. These customized inserts are constructed from thick gauge acrylic that can support big and bulky applications. Please be detailed about your sewing machine model because each insert has a unique cut. For instance, several manufacturers have produced various iterations of the same machine over the years.
Please note that if your Koala Cabinet is an older model built in Australia, these inserts will not work. You will need the Sew Steady Insert.

I do a lot of free motion quilting on my table. The insert was just a few millimeters short of being the exact height of the table. So my safety pins would get caught on that ridge. So I had to add little felt sticker risers to make it work. The cut out itself fit my machine very well. Just wish it were a little thicker. The small circles you see along the clear acrylic are what I had to add to make everything smooth and level.
More thrilled with it than I expected. It has lots of ways to organize and is simple to do so. My Koala looks professional and is solid as a rock. I call it my nest! I love it so much. Deb

Love the product. The only issue I had was with communication thru Sewing Parts Online. 1 month to the day of ordering I had yet to receive any communication as to if/when I might get my order. Called SPOL- was told they would check with someone. 10 days later, still no info about order. Finally called again, and was told it was out for delivery that day. Happy to receive it and love it, but wish I could have gotten info to track it before the day it arrived.

I updated my sewing machine and needed to replace my insert. This fits perfectly, and I love that fact that it is clear!
This fit my Koala sewing cabinet perfectly. I needed a different size after replacing my Bernina 830 with a new Bernina 790 Pro. There is no wiggle room in the insert, but that works fine.
The one I ordered wasn't the correct one. Apparently, the model number I needed wasn't on the website. Called customer service and they said they wanted a picture of the insert to show them the problem and model number of sewing desk. Emailed said pictures. A month later I tried to order a correct one and got in touch with customer service again and gave dimensions of opening and model number of my sewing desk. And nothing has showed up. That has been 2 months ago.
Love the extra room that it gives me as I sew, especially when quilting. Fit perfectly, excellent customer service.
A lot of surface area. The sewing machine height adjustment works really well. There is interior storage shelves and boxes included . I threw away my old ratty sewing basket bc I didn’t need it anymore.
The first one didn’t fit, the company replaced it no problem. The new one was perfect.
It's a GREAT help for me!! Along with my Koala sewing cabinet, I've been wanting this for years & finally $aved up to get it! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I recently visited the store and everyone were so helpful & nice! Sure wanted to meet "BOB" tho. I traveled from Arizona.... maybe next time!

It did fit my machine, but not quite like the one that came with the Kolola Cabinet. It was cut for an older Bernina.
I have not received my acrylic inserts yet. Should have received it by now???
Great service as the customer service person was able to ask me the appropriate questions and guide me to get the correct measurements which resulted in the perfect insert for my older Koala Outback JR sewing table.
First shipment arrived damaged. Replacement shipment also arrived damage, although minor, so I kept it. The problem was not with the product, but with JB Hunt who handled the shipment. I would strongly recommend that you make arrangements with a different shipping contractor.

The cabinet is wonderful! The insert fit the machine but did not fit the cabinet. It was way too big. I contacted the company and they said they would contact the people who made the custom insert. It has been a few weeks now and I have not heard from them.

My insert fit perfectly around my new sewing machine in my 20 year old cabinet. Thank you for double checking with me to be sure of the cabinet style and machine measurements because it’s just right.
For some reason, the front piece doesn't fit flush with the sewing machine. Since the machine is large, the acrylic came in 2 pieces-not what I expected. I'm disappointed after spending that much money.
