Manual Lift
The advantage of the manual lift is that it provides 12 adjustment positions (1" increments) for your sewing machine, ranging from 2-1/2" under the cabinet surface to 17-1/4". So, no matter what type your machine is, you should be able to find a comfortable position for it. The uppermost position is specifically for free-arm sewing. The middle tiers provide a flat tabletop surface when paired with the insert, and the lower positions offer a secure space for your machine when not in use. In the long term, it's not recommended that you max out the table's weight limit, but the lift is weight-tested up to 75 pounds.
Adjustable Shelving
The Cubbie includes two adjustable shelves to store notions and books, or if you don't need the shelves, you can turn the space into embroidery arm storage.
