Each color is dyed in a meticulous process, giving you a consistent and unmatched sheen. This German-made rayon 40-weight thread is the gold standard in embroidery thread. 7 out of 10 embroidery professionals choose Madeira rayon thread for their commercial embroidery machines. The reason for this is the high tensile strength and exceptional color fastness. Perfect for quilting, decorative stitching, and embellishment, it can be used on all fabrics, from the finest silk to the toughest leather or denim.
There are 115 beautiful colors to choose from, and each spool contains either 220 or 1,100 yards of premium rayon embroidery thread. Madeira chose a traditional spool shape for their threads, which eliminates the drop-off and tangling problems that other thread brands struggle with. Madeira Rayon works great for multiple different types of material. I used canvas, sweatshirts, t-shirts 50/50, and 100% cotton. This thread didn't break like other threads. I would recommend this thread for embroidery machine projects.
I ran out very close to the end of a project. The thread arrived in a couple days and is a perfect match. I was finally able to finish my project.
I have used these threads for years and love them.
I love Madeira thread. I have a small collection of Madeira threads that I pull out often. I have used Sulky thread also, but really prefer the Madeira. The colors are bright and shiny, and the larger spool makes them easier to use. I use the gold quite often for holiday stitching.
Cannot use thisrecommended color for Levi jeans and the thread spec said cannot tolerate heat (ironing).
