Having purchased an older Janome sewing machine from the 1970s, I only discovered that it was missing the power cord and foot pedal once it was home. Very happy to find a replacement foot pedal for my "old" Janome. My original foot pedal stopped working many years ago and instead of repairing it or offering a Janome replacement the shop simply offered me an off market foot pedal that was narrow and finicky. I suspect it was made by the shop repairman. It served me well but aesthetically didn't match. I was so excited to find a new one since all machines have differing outlet sizing for the cords.

Staff was wonderful trying to help me match up my 1968 ELNA SUPER foot controller. Not an easy fix as she was so old. The one I ordered did not fit as it had a rectangular vertical plug. I had to return it. Tim was. It’s helpful with the return process.
