The Janome needle plate error F1: automatic plate converter doesn't work properly and E7: error the machine doesn't work properly due to problem in control circuit. Removing the needle plate, I discovered that the plate converter had broken, no longer guiding the thread in straight line or zig zag pattern. This set off the errors. The new plate when installed stopped the errors. The 2014 Janome is back in order.
