The replacement parts work just fine. More than likely the folks having trouble with the new part is due to a couple of things. 1. Not installed correctly. You have to make sure it is snapped ALL THE WAY IN. Otherwise, the things don't line up. 2. This part seems to 'train' to the user. In my business, I have FIVE of these machines. The part seems to adjust to the regular user. I have a hard time threading a needle on hubbies machine, and he has trouble threading when he is on 'my' machine. When you first install a new threader, there does seem to be a bit getting used to. Just make sure you haven't moved that hook off to the side, making it not go through the needle eye..
