Perfect for appliqué and detailed sewing techniques, this 9MM Open-Toe Applique Foot offers an unobstructed view of your needle and fabric. It’s ideal for any project that requires accuracy and close control, helping you place every stitch exactly where it belongs.
How to Use:
- Prepare Your Appliqué Cut your appliqué shapes exactly to size—no seam allowance needed. For fabrics that fray, press the seam allowance under using a template for clean edges.
- Apply Fusible Web Iron paper-backed fusible web to the back of your appliqué fabric. Remove the paper, then press the appliqué onto your base fabric to secure it in place.
- Attach the Foot Snap on the Open-Toe Appliqué Foot. If your machine features the IDT™ system, engage it for even fabric feeding.
- Start Stitching Choose your preferred appliqué stitch. Guide the edge of the appliqué along the inner right edge of the foot to maintain a consistent stitch line. Use your machine’s pattern mirror function if needed to position your stitches just right. This placement helps tuck the straight stitch into the seam’s shadow, giving your appliqué a clean, hand-finished look.

I do good amount of raw edge applique and never knew about this open applique foot until a friend mentioned it. She also recommended this online site to purchase it. It is a perfect fit for my Pfaff Passport 2 and has made my sewing so much easier due to the increased visibility.

Fits my Pfaff 720. Super handy to see what’s immediately under my needle for appliqué and thread painting. Much easier to see what’s going on then with any of the other Pfaff sewing feet.
