The Perfect 1/4" Foot is specially designed to help you sew a true 1/4" or scant 1/4" (<6 mm) seam with ease—essential for patchwork, quilting, and precise piecing. It also works beautifully for topstitching. The elongated needle hole allows you to fine-tune the needle position, giving you full control over stitch placement for consistently accurate results.

How to Use:
Piecing

1. Attach the Foot Snap on the Perfect 1/4” Foot.
2. Engage the IDT™ System Activate the Integrated Dual Feed for smooth, even fabric feeding.
3. Select a Stitch & Adjust
   For a true 1/4" seam (6 mm): Move the needle 1–2 steps to the left.
   For a scant 1/4" seam: Use the center needle position or move it 1 step to the right.
4. Sew Your Seam Place your fabric pieces right sides together.
   Align the fabric edge with the guide on the foot.
   Sew, keeping the fabric gently touching the guide.
5. Finish & Check Press your seam and measure the block to confirm your seam allowance is accurate.

Adjustment Tip: You can fine-tune your seam by adjusting the needle position—right to decrease the seam allowance, left to increase it. You may safely move the needle up to 3 steps in either direction.

Topstitching

1. Attach the Foot Snap on the Perfect 1/4” Foot.
2. Engage the IDT™ System Helps ensure even feeding for clean, consistent stitching.
3. Select Your Stitch Choose a straight stitch, triple straight stitch, or mock hand quilting stitch. Adjust the needle position as needed for your preferred stitch placement.
4. Guide and Sew Align the foot's guide with the seam ditch or fabric edge.
   Sew, using the guide to keep your topstitching perfectly straight.

Pro Tip: Use the red markings on the foot to align your fabric at the beginning, around corners, or as you approach the end of your stitching.
