Its narrow width is especially handy for cutting your own 2-1/2in strips or working with popular 2-1/2in precuts, while the extended 24-1/2in length makes it easy to cut fabric directly from the bolt. Creative Grids’ exclusive non-slip grip lets the ruler glide smoothly across your fabric while you position it, then holds securely in place with light pressure for more accurate cutting. The 1in grid is marked in 1/8in and 1/4in increments, with black numbers on white dots and 1/4in grip sides for cutting whole inches. Turn the ruler around and follow the white numbers on black dots and 1/2in grip sides to cut half-inch increments using the convenient Turn-a-Round feature.
Dashed 1/4in lines on two adjoining sides help with trimming seam allowances, while the black-and-white 45-degree lines are useful for half-square triangles, flying geese units, on-point squares, and cross-hatch quilting. A 30/60-degree angled line helps with cutting diamonds and marking diamond cross-hatch designs. White horizontal and vertical center lines make it easier to align stripes, borders, and motifs for accurate fussy cutting.
