Schmetz 130/705 H SUK Jersey/Ballpoint Needles are made specifically for sewing on knits. The medium ballpoint makes it excellent for knit fabrics and even some stretch fabric. These needles have a unique point that does not damage or break knitted fabrics. These needles can be used in household sewing machine brands where needles with a flat shank are required.
Most Schmetz Needles include two color-coded bands just below the shank. The top color indicates the type of needle, and the lower color indicates the size. The Schmetz Jersey/Ballpoint Needles have an orange-brown top band. Schmetz 130/705 H SUK Jersey/Ballpoint Needles is a pack of five needles in a plastic case that slides shut for safe storage. The needle system, needle type, and needle size are printed on the front of the case.

worked great on my knit fabric!
I am not a new seamstress but I am not an educated one. I was given a pair of very stretchy jersey pajamas that were much too big for me and also I bought a pair of very stretchiy overalls that I liked that was also too big. I needed a 90/14 ball point needle. I had never used this kind of needle so I needed guidance so I got guidance from Justanswer.com for 3 days. I sort of ruined the pajamas but I was getting the idea. When I finally attempted the overalls, I was more informed and when I finally did it on the sewing machine, I realized that I needed tissue paper to stabilize it. The overalls came out great; the stitch was great and the final look after pressing it with an iron was really interesting that the polyester thread with this special stitch ended up being flat after pressing. I was really impressed with myself. So there you have it. My experience and perserverance combined made me sew smarter.
I like having these needles available for certain sewing projects.
Ballpoint needles were recommended for sewing minky fabrics and these wirk extremely well.

The items I purchased were just fine. The business practices and customer service not so great. Apparently one of the items I ordered was out of stock. Who knew? So instead of canceling that item or letting me know so I could chose, they just held up the entire order. When I finally got an answer to my email asking what had happened to my order, they said, their out of stock policy is spelled out in their shipping policy. But how would a person know that? When I order from a company, I expect to be notified if that order can't be filled. I still don't know which item was out of stock, but I do know that I would have gladly gone without it. By the time I received it, I could have reordered it twice with another company. It took a FULL MONTH to get the things I ordered and I had projects and customers waiting on them. Very disappointing. This will not be at the top of my list of suppliers, that is for sure.
The service at the comonu is top if the line. Never have an issue. They are my go to.
