Schmetz Piecing & Quilting Needles are an assorted pack of needles great for detailed sewing projects. The Schmetz 130/705 H-M Microtex/Sharp Needles have a super slim, sharp point that works great with microfibers, polyester, silk, foils, artificial leather, and coated fabric. The Schmetz 130/705 H-Q Quilting Needles taper to a slightly rounded point that works best with cotton blends. The Microtex and Quilting needles create precise and fewer skipped stitches when piecing and quilting cotton fabrics. These needles will work in all household sewing machine brands and types for which needles with a flat shank are required.
Most Schmetz Needles include two color-coded bands just below the shank. The top color indicates the type of needle, and the lower color indicates the size. The Schmetz Microtex/Sharp Needles have a purple top band. The Schmetz Quilting Needles have a green top band. Schmetz Piecing & Quilting Needles are available as a pack of five needles in a plastic case that slides shut for safe storage. The needle system, needle type, and needle size are printed on the front of the case.
