Product Description
Sew Steady's serging extension table is the perfect solution for expanding your workable sewing area. This acrylic table features rounded edges, so you won't have to worry about snagging your fabric. Printed on the table are two rulers, one with metric and another with inch measurements. The legs on this sewing table are fully adjustable, and a movable suction leg is also included to ensure maximum versatility. Sew Steady's transparent extension tables can also be turned into a lightbox for tracing patterns and other artworks. Please note that these tables are cut specifically to fit your machine, so expect yours to arrive 2-4 weeks after ordering. Please note that the Giant Table does not fit any of the Travel Bags, nor do they include rulers pre-printed on the table. Instead, they include two 16" Static Cling Rulers.

Installation of table

  • Included with the junior table: 4 standard legs
  • Included with the large table: 4 standard legs, 1 suction leg
  • Included with the big table: 6 standard legs, 1 suction leg
  • Included with the giant table: 10 standard legs, 2 suction legs, 2 cling rulers
  1. Adjust leg height to be 1/4" shorter than the machine's bed. Hint: stand the leg up to the bed of the machine and adjust accordingly. For proper fit, the table will be level with the bed of the machine at the needle.
  2. Install legs by placing the table upside down on a firm surface. Protect the tabletop with a soft towel. Push legs all the way onto black buttons attached to the table. Turn the table upright.
  3. Slide table into place (if it's not attached or not at the right height, the table may not slide into place correctly.
  4. Install support/suction leg (when supplied) by attaching the suction cup to the top of the leg, adjust the height, and place where desired.

Add more storage space to your sewing table with Sew Steady's Add-A-Drawer. This transparent drawer attaches to the underside of your table and gives you a 6" by 8" space to store small notions like needles, bobbins, and thread. These convenient bags are ideal for storing and transporting your acrylic extension tables. They have padding on the inside as well as pockets (four on the smaller ones and six on the bigger bags) to store all your notions. The smaller bags have nylon carrying handles, while the large bags also feature a shoulder strap.



Please note that Sew Steady designs their tables first and foremost to be level at the needle plate, so there is a smooth transition from the table to the needle plate. That being said, some (i.e., Baby Lock, Pfaff, etc.) machines are not entirely level and have a slope or contours. Since the tables are made of a solid piece of acrylic, they are not "molded" around the entire sewing machine. To help elevate the transition as much as possible, Sew Steady brings the acrylic up and over to close any gaps or curves. They have found this the best solution for most machines. If they didn't do this and were to cut out the acrylic more, there would be an even larger transition that could hang up your fabric.

Sew Steady Serger Extension Table

This would be my 5th SewSteady extension table that I have bought over the years. I really like them! The latest one is for a Bernina L790 Combi machine. The huge table top fits very well but the legs are barely long enough to sit on the table the machine sits on. They are all raised to the max height and a couple of them sit a little crooked at the bottom due to not having 'just a little more screw to screw'. I haven't had a large quilt or something heavy on it but am hoping that will not become an issue. In my opinion, the legs need to be just a bit longer so everything sits firmly in place - hence the 4 stars.

Sew Steady Serger Extension Table

I have several Sew Steady tables, and they've all worked well, so I had no worries about ordering one for the BL Triumph. However, because the knee lever on the Triumph is so short, the machine must sit very close to the edge of your sewing table. This means the very front edge of the extension table hangs over thin air. If you put your arm, or very heavy material on the extension table, it lifts up, and heads for the needles. You might not know this is happening if your fabric is hanging down off the extension table. The Triumph has a slight curve to its design, but the extension table does not, so it looks very level when it's attached, but in use, it moves because it's not being held tightly against the machine.
