This tool is an absolute must if you work with fusibles, appliques, or glues. The Gypsy Quilter's Appli-Fuse Mats are the perfect for creating fusible appliques. These silicone mats have a slight tack, which prevents the mat and materials from sliding while you work. It's easy to keep your Appli-Fuse Mat clean! Glues will flake off, and if you need to clean it, you can use soap and water or place it in the dishwasher.
The Appli-Fuse Mats are transparent. The transparent center allows you to place your outline underneath the mat while you line up all your pieces on top. Once you have everything lined up, you can go ahead and fuse your pieces without worrying that the pieces might shift.
The Gypsy Quilter has incorporated glass fiber into the silicone, giving it a heat resistance up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). This means you don't need to worry about your iron or glue gun damaging the mat.
