Needs more maixtenance photos and trouble shooting for the new user.

I learned how to sew on an old singer in high school in 1970. In 1975 I bought a Singer Futura. It was wonderful!!! Since then I have owned at least 4 different Singers. I have had a Singer 2210. I have used and loved it for 35 YEARS. I have NEVER had a single problem with it. I haves sewed everything from baby clothes to very expensive materials for Prim dresses. I say all of this to say that it finally quit working. I have kept it oiled and cleaned all the parts of the bobbin case. A couple of weeks ago I was almost done sewing an apron for one of my customers that had to be delivered the next day. So I had to go buy a machine. I bought this Singer 6180 and it wouldn’t work right, I had to buy another machine so I got another 6180 and I HATE, really, really HATE this new machine and here is why: The bobbin is front loading and is the kind of bobbin we used when I learned to sew in the old days The instructions are written horribly The presser feet have to click on and if you don’t have it placed just right it won’t attach The needle threader is a nightmare, i just thread the machine myself The spoil holder can’t be seen when you are sitting in front of the machine. I’m sorry but I think all I need is a new feed dog for my old machine, but I can’t find any parts for it. I have to constantly have to rethread and re insert the bobbin for it to sew right for about 12-15 inches and then the bobbin thread gets hung up and it’s a mess. Singer has always been the machine that I’ve bought and loved but I would not buy another one of these 6180 again. I usually don’t write reviews but I’m so unhappy with this new machine and disappointed with this machine. It is slowing down my time for my business.
