This is the second foot control of this type that I have ordered. It's for my second Singer Featherweight (Model 221). The one I ordered prior was for my first Featherweight. Both pedals are superior to the original foot control that came with Featherweight. This one operates smoothly and comfortably, which cannot always be said of the original foot controls that came with these. It's sturdy and well built and I will get many years of use out of it.
Works great and I don't have to worry about the original, 70 year old pedal, catching on fire!
Works great for both my 221 and the 301A, so I bought a second one.
I was very hesitant to order the foot peddle but now feel safe with no wires exposed.

I purchased a Singer Featherweight at an auction and the foot control was not the original and did not function correctly. The Variable Speed Foot Control w/ Cord (110/120V), Singer #PFW-196131? was a perfect replacement. It is much more comfortable than the original *I have a second Feather weight with the correct controller) and is a perfect replacement for the incorrect, partially function control that cam with the sewing machine. I will not hesitate to purchase from sewing Parts Online in the future.

Somebody made a mistake either you or me but the part I ordered for my brother 420 project runway sewing machine did not fit. It was a variable speed pressure foot but the plug was a standard two prong and my machine takes a single prong. I have left two voice messages and also waited online for a total of 30 minutes. The price was good, I didn't mind paying delivery but somebody needs to answer the phones or the voice messages. Thank you.

I was gifted a Featherweight 221. The cord had wires showing so I wanted to replace it before checking to see if the machine worked. It was a bit tricky getting the new cord plugged into the machine. The fit was quite snug. However, after I got it plugged in it worked beautifully,...and I double I will ever have to worry about it falling out!
The info said it was made for my 301A machine but I didn’t read further down that said to check the connection as some of them are different. Of course this part didn’t fit my machine. I spoke to Natalia who informed me this was my fault and I had to return part at my expense which didn’t seem fair. She told me to take pictures of my outlet and plug which I texted her and emailed and she said she would let me know the correct part. It’s been over a week and haven’t heard anything from Natalia

My old cord was original to my vintage black Singer sewing machine. It had been taped in several places before I acquired the machine. Once the wires loosened and the pedal didn't work anymore, I found a replacement with Sewing Parts Online. I plugged it in and it worked! So happy with my purchase!

It was very difficult at first to plug the 3 prongs into my old Singer but finally I made it work. I think it will get easier over time. But basically I'm very grateful that they are still making parts for a machine bought when I was 10 years old (my Mom bought it for me); I am now 83 and the Singer is going strong, as am I! Simple replacement for a Singer 201. Not as sturdy construction as I would have expected, but works. It has a light and hollow feeling that isn’t there on the old vintage types.
