With a maximum stitch speed of 1300 stitches per minute, the SE017 makes it possible for you to finish more projects quickly with professional-looking seams.
Free Arm Sewing
Simply slide off the bed extension to expose the free arm. Easily sew hard-to-reach areas, such as hemming pant legs, attaching sleeves, etc. Once you are done, the bed extension snaps right back into place! This free arm also doubles as a storage compartment.
Differential Feed
By adjusting the differential feed, you can easily achieve professional-level finishes even with stretchy fabrics like knits. This function helps keep the material from puckering or distorting by letting you adjust how it is fed through your machine. It makes the front and rear feed dogs move at different speeds.
Snap on Presser Feet
Don't worry about having to hunt down a screwdriver whenever you need to change presser feet! The Singer SE017 comes equipped with a snap-on presser foot shank. Simply press the white button on the back of the presser foot bar, and your current foot detaches instantly. Your new presser foot easily snaps back onto the shank so you can keep serging!
2-Thread Conversion
The machine may be easily converted to 2-thread stitching with the accompanying 2-thread conversion accessory. Using this converter will make sewing a 2-thread flatlock and roll hem much easier. Please be aware that in order to use the top looper, the 2-thread converter needs to be disconnected.
Stitch Width & Length Adjustment
Easily increase or decrease the stitch width by changing the needle position or using the convenient adjustment dial. When using only the left needle, the width can be adjusted between 5.2-6.7 mm. When using only the right needle, the width can be adjusted between 3.0-4.5 mm. For mostsewing, the stitch length is best left on "3". However, if you are sewing with heavy-weight fabric, you can adjust it to 4 mm and adjust it to 2 mm for lightweight material.
