My slide plate was missing for my 99 singer model and I replace it and the tension spring and now my tension is better and I can sew with my purchase plate and bobbins I have been amazed at the availability of the parts for these vintage machines. I have 8 Im so glad there is a place like this to order replacement parts

No screws with plate to hold it in place
Store owner replied: It doesn't attach to the machine with screws. You should have a metal flat 'spring' screwed under the spot that they slides on to. The sides of the spring slide onto the grooves of this plate, holding it in place.

Bought this to replace the one missing from my antique treadle. Unfortunately, while it does fit, it is about a millimeter too thick. It does get the job done, so for right now, it works.
Product is solid, does fit over the bobbin case, but thicker than an original part, so it has a raised edge that the fabric must go over. Brushed steel look - not a match visually to the plated throat plate.
Perfectly fits a Singer model 66 from 1919 working on restoring. Original plate was lost. So much better to find than try to make!

Great deal and as expected
This thing doesn't come close to fitting my machine. I complained to their customer service email address but never heard back. I also received a bobbin tire which appears to be okay, not yet installed.
The plate I received wasn't machined for size very well, too wide. Had to modify by sanding edges. But now the bobbin is covered, so that's good
Good quality
Disappointed that the finish of the metal did not match the finish on adjacent piece. Existing was a polished chrome and replacement piece was more like stainless steel.
