In a theatre shop and at home, I always serge all pieces of a costume or outfit before sewing. At school, I taught kids to use the sergers. Serging up to 150 costumes or more a year, blades get dull. These knives cut through single layers of fabric fine but once there is more than one layer, it jammed up and stopped cutting. I�ve never had that issue before
