The straight stitch plate does not fit because the screw holes do not line up. See the photo where they are stacked— the straight stitch plate with the zigzag plate. I need to return this. Please advise.

I kept hearing about how much sewing is improved with a single stitch machine and when I saw the plate was an option for my Cresendo I had to try. It works great and yes my quarter inch is more consistent. So glad I could add it to a machine I love.
I love the stitch plate but I accidentally ordered two. I left a message for customer service and they told me how to return one of them. I did as told and it came back to me again. It’s setting in one state and I’m in another so I guess I have an extra.

wrong part returned
I was looking for a straight stitch plate for my Babylock Melody (and yes. I realize it’s an old machine). Yours looked identical and fit beautifully into the machine…mail I went to screw if in. The hole on the top left of the plate was off by a hair and I couldn’t get the screw in properly. When I took it off and turned it over…it actually was a bit different from the original stitch plate. I put my machine back together and then it kept chewing up my material (to include the leader). It’s now at my local Babylock retailer for repair. Thanks for listening. Regards Vanessa Markarian
