Item is exactly what I needed and came pretty quickly.
Free shipping but took almost 2 weeks
Great turn around time frame when placing my order.
There were no instructions to set calibration, adjustment or correct position of the assembly. Everytime I tried positioning the assembly it would , under its own tension, position itself where it wanted to be. I totally disassembled it, along with the thread spring position in an attempt to establish the zero position at the top, 12 o’clock position and take up spring in the correct position. I was only partially successful.
The spring is very flimsy and I do not foresee this last thing long compared to the old spray that I had
Installed this on a "Quilters Portable" (replica of a SFW221), its mostly identical to the tension parts on that machine. Difficult to calibrate the numbered indicator flange. Significant differences in the shape of the main tension spring and the extra bit of rod that is inside the shaft (which fell out) had me guessing at the assembly procedure.
