Do you ever feel like the ironing board pad that came with your stand just doesn't cut it? Then try out Sonoma Wool Company's Wool Ironing Board Pads. Unlike regular foam backing, this all-natural 100% wool ironing board pad provides you with luxurious solid padding while absorbing the steam for a smooth ironing experience. Please note the ironing board is not included.
These Ironing Board Pads are generously sized at 56" x 18" or 56" x 22". You may have to trim the Ironing Board Pad to fit your ironing board, no hemming required! After you cut the wool pad, you can use the excess for coasters, scrub cloths, or even hot pads. They are approximately 1/4" to 3/8" thick or twice as dense as other standard pads. The thicker pad will absorb both heat and moisture better, giving you the perfect press every time.
The wool pads are designed to lay under your ironing board cover, which will hold it in place. It's recommended that you use a 100% cotton or linen cover. You can also select from the dropdown above to purchase the smaller pad with the all-natural ironing board cover. The cover is made of 52% cotton and 48% linen mixture. It also has a cotton drawstring for tightening and measures 20.5" wide by 58.5" long. The cover is designed to fit standard-sized ironing boards that are 54"–56" long by 14"–18" wide.

This is a very high quality ironing board cover. The wool padding is absolutely gorgeous it's thick and very smooth so when you iron no bumps or wrinkling of pad underneath cover. The cover is beautiful linen high quality also . It might seem pricey to some but I can tell you it's worth every penny. I'm sure this will last for years if taken care of. I used it already the first day I put it on and it kept in place and my iron glided smoothly over the surface. I'm very pleased with this beautiful ironing board pad and cover because I have a wooden antique very sturdy in excellent shape ironing board. It has been impossible to find a pad and cover that would fit it ! So this was exactly what I needed and also very nice makes my sturdy antique even more of a useful treasure. Thanks for a high quality product hard to find these days. You can tell the wool pad will not shed or bunch up it's fabulous also linen cover is substantial is thick not thin . So it gets an A+ in my opinion
I didn't even know ironing pads for boards were made this thick!! It is exactly what I needed for my giant ironing board. I couldn't believe it covered it. I even had to cut it down just a little. No more metal waffle patterns showing on my clothes when I iron or when I am pressing fabric.
The wool ironing board pad made a dramatic difference in my ironing.Ironing is not a chore, my clothes look crisp & new with much less effort. The large size fit my large ironing board wonderfully. this was the easiest installation ever! All I had to do was to pull the gathering tape on the cover that I ordered with the pad and presto! an amazing surface to iron on, replacing a rather lumpy and ugly eyesore of an ironing board.

I struggled to find a new pad for my ironing board, locally. I was amazed that many did not know what I was asking for. They offered me what they had which was a just a thin pad of some type attached to the ironing board cover. I'm grateful that I went online and found you, Sewing Parts. This is a beautiful pad, easy to install and just exactly what I was looking for. I love it!
The wool pad and the ironing board cover were long overdue and are a great improvement over the original thin foam and polyester padding that came with the ironing board. The leftover wool padding was a bonus that allowed me to replace a thin wool suit fabric and cotton knit pad on my grandfather’s wooden sleeve board that is probably 100 years old!
I am loving this wool ironing pad! It is making ironing faster and easier. I used to have to flip over the material to iron out the rest of the wrinkles. Very happy with this product!
I used a wool pad on my previous ironing board and loved it, The ironing board itself didn’t work for me so I made an ironing cart and covered the top with the wool pad/batting etc. Now I have an ironing cart that retains the advantage of the wool pad setup but is much easier to use in my small sewing room without having to move it off/on the wall whenever it was needed. I still love the wool pad.

I like it! I didn’t cut mine to size just in case I ever got a new ironing board. I just sort of wrapped it around my ironing board and put my old cover over it and it works great!
I appreciated the generous size that I could cut to fit my ironing board. Love the thickness and that it is all natural wool. And, I’ve already found one use for some of the off-cuts ❤️
My old ironing board cover was starting to imprint a honeycomb onto every fabric I ironed. After googling, I found the wool cover and it's absolutely incredible. I'm really amazed at how flat it leaves the fabric.
The wool ironing board pad makes a big difference in the quality and ease of ironing. It's more "substantial" than the original pad so it stays in place better along with the cotton cover. I've been using it for several weeks now and am happy with my purchase.
