14 Stitches and 4 Step Buttonhole

Capable of sewing wovens and knits, this machine comes with all the stitches you need for garment construction, home decor projects, and even free-motion sewing. The stitches include overcasting, tricot, knit, straight stretch, rick-rack stretch, buttonhole, button sewing, and zipper application. The 4 step buttonhole is perfect for creating even and accurate openings.

Extra-High Presser Foot Lift

The extra-high presser foot lift can accommodate the heavy fabrics and multiples layers that standard home sewing machines struggle to sew. Sew multiple layers of denim, heavy fleece, and thick quilts with ease. It can be raised approximately 1/4" higher than a normal position.

Drop Feed Dogs

Front-load bobbin

Janome's HD1000 has a front-loading bobbin that is easy to replace. To swap out your class 15 bobbin, remove the bed of the machine, open the hook cover, and pop out the bobbin case. Next, insert the new bobbin, and pull the thread through the slot of the case. Lastly, place it back in your machine, and you are good to go.
