Real game changer! I easily quilted with it - my first time ever- and it sews effortlessly and accurately. It feels as if I got and entirely new sewing machine !Best purchase ever!!
I love my new walking foot for my old Bernina 930! I bought the machine in 1984 when I graduated from college. I had always wanted a walking foot and finally decided to spend the money. I wish I had bought it sooner! It makes stitching through thick fabrics, slick fabrics and delicate fabrics much easier than without it. This foot is a must for any serious sewist.
The foot is a little tricky to get on my Bernina 801. I have to remove the screw holding the needle in place completely to get the arm of the foot in the right place so the machine can operate properly. Then replace the screw and reinsert the needle before tightening completely. Once in place it works very well. Putting in a replacement bobbin presents an interesting challenge; the presser foot has to be lowered for the needle to pick the bobbin thread up. All in all the foot works as it should and quilting is easily achieved.
Lack of instructions/ lack of identifying parts/ possible return/advertised markings not there /will have to enlist someone to try and install. Disappointing for my first order from your company
1st time to order. Says it fits my Bernina Record 730. Well ..::: not so much. Also no installation instructions or even pictures or diagrams. No markings on feet no identification of which foot is which, how to switch out said feet or how to use guides. Very disappointed and will be returning.
I would like to get another one for my other machine but couldn't find it. Bernina B570 guilters edition?? Any ideas.
I also want open toe embroidery foot for both machines... 1000 bernina too.
The walking foot fit, however it is not the same as described in minimal instruction booklet. There are two sewing plates, one for quilting and one for leather/plastic. Which is which and how do you change them???? Described as having 1/4 " and 1/2 markings on foot. Neither one has such markings. Disappointing due to cost.
The purchasing experience from Sewinh Parts Online was perfect- I received what I ordered, right on time.
The dual feeder is of good quality, sturdy and well made. It functions as it should on my Bernina 807, and is much less expensive than the Bernina brand foot. However, it really takes some doing to use. The needle holder must be completely unscrewed for the foot to fit onto my machine, then screwed on again with a screwdriver to ensure the needle doesn't fall out during sewing. Once on, the foot must be in the lowered position to be able to turn the hand wheel and move the needle down and up (ie to bring up the bobbin thread). Then I can proceed as normal and the foot does it's job well. So, not a deal breaker, but not super convenient.
My walking foot broke in the middle of wedding sewing. I called Customer Service and I received a replacement the next day. It was a very satisfying experience. I was back up and running on the wedding party clothes. Would highly recommend this company!
Glad this was available for my 1971 Bernina sewing machine! I dont sew a lot, but my young daughter and I just completed a project with Minky material, and this walking foot really helped!
This is the first walking foot Ive purchased for my Bernina. The instructions to attach to my machine could have been more explanatory. The expert quilter that helped me, figured it out; I could not have figured out how to put it on my machine with the instructions provided.
This was about a third of the price of the Bernina foot I have previously borrowed from a friend, but looks identical in quality and seems to fit and work equally well!
