3-Position Needle Threader
Whether you are using one, two, or all three needles, Elna's advanced needle thread makes it quick and easy. Select the needle for threading by simply sliding the needle threader switch lever to R/M/L (right needle, middle needle, left needle), then push down on the needle threader lever and thread needle.
Free Arm
With its free arm, the eXtend Covermax makes it super easy to finish sleeves, cuffs, waistbands, and other hard-to-reach seams. To access the free arm, remove the auxiliary bed on the machine and you are ready to sew. Once you are through, you can snap the bed back into place.

Adjustable Differential Feed
Even with stretchy fabrics like knits and georgette, you can easily create professional-level finishes by adjusting the differential feed. This feature allows you to fine-tune how the material is fed through your machine and helps to prevent puckering or distorting. It works by making the front and rear feed dogs move at different speeds. Set the dial to 1.0 for regular sewing, lower numbers for fine fabrics, and higher numbers on stretchy fabrics.
EASY THREAD TENSION
Thread tension should be properly adjusted to suit the various types of work. The ideal tension setting for most fabrics and threads is between 3 and 5. However, this can vary quite considerably when specialty threads are used. The thread must move easily and without resistance through the looper's eye. To lower the tension turn the dial downwards and rotate the dial upwards to increase the tension. It's recommended that you tune the dials by quarter or half number increments, then test sew and check the results.
25-Year Limited Warranty
Elna will ensure your machine's performance for 25 years from when the machine is purchased. Coverage is limited to repair or necessary replacement of parts caused by defects in quality and materials. Faults in electrical components will be for five years.
