I've hungered for this board for several years. Finally got to treat myself. Wool mat just arrived but haven't been able to take advantage yet. Very easy to put together.
I have a small sewing room that converts to a guest bedroom a few times a year. I needed a big board to iron and lay out existing projects. The Big Board was ready to use 5 minutes out of the box with very minor assembly. When I have guests it folds down and is stored under the wall bed. Highly recommend!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this big ironing board and I also bought the wool ironing mat to go with it. Great decision on my part to do that!!! It gives me more work space and it’s wonderful for pressing big projects like quilts! I’m sooo happy I made the purchase for both the ironing board and wool ironing mat!!! I love the height and stability of it. I had a regular ironing board with a wide topper on it which worked great. The problem with that was the topper got too heavy after a while and was making my ironing board unstable. It was breaking down. I love the wide stance of the legs on my new Big Board and that it has 2 different heights. I already had the wool mat to put on it so it is perfect.
I love, love, love my Folding BIG board. Great for quilting and the darker color on the wool mat does not stain as easily. I know, it’s pricey but it’s worth every penny! Best investment in my sewing room… hands down!
Be prepared to get your drill, nail set, & screw driver out because the "predrilled holes" do not line up with the metal hinge. You must completely remove the attached hardware, reline up the hinge, mark the holes, use your nail set, then redrill all 12 screws. The reason you have to remove the hinge, is that there is no way to just drill new holes as they would fall off the edge and not hold the board. Once we corrected the problem, we are pleased with the board, but for the price, the holes should line up correctly. The owners need to do some quality control. Also, be prepared to leave the board up, as it weighs about as much as my mother. Granted she's an itty bitty thing, but it's way too heavy to keep putting up and down. We just leave it in the walk in closet, & slide it around. If you have carpet, rethink that scenario.
This is a very well built, and solid ironing board. It came a smidge dented on one corner because the styrofoam wasn’t sturdy and fell apart during shipping, so I think they could use a sturdier corner piece, but other than that it’s my new favorite work station. I’m 5’5” and the higher position is perfect for me. It wasn’t perfectly level but a few feet pads took care of that. I would absolutely recommend buying this! It will last a lifetime!
Pros…I like the size and sturdiness of it. I also like the two heights. Con’s…it is very heavy and difficult to go from one height to another. For the price It was pretty sloppy in the construction. Every where that it was glued they left dripping dried glue all over instead of sanding or wiping it up. Not sure if I would buy it again or recommend it to anyone else.
Where has this board been all my life?? I usually only iron curtains and fabric for sewing projects, this board makes it so much easier to accomplish. I always hated trying to work around the point on the traditional ironing board. It was very easy to assemble with just 2 hinges. It is very heavy, as it is totally made with solid wood. I love the large rectangular surface and the 2 position easy adjustment in height. The Cover is a heavy muslin material. I did add felt pads to the legs so not to scratch my hard wood floors. I am not sure where I am going to store it but it may just stay up and ready to go in my spare room. I am sooooo happy I splurged on this board!!
This board would be truly wonderful if it weren't apparently damaged in shipping. I have asked Sewing Parts online to issue a return slip for me, although they said they have to talk to UPS first. I sent plenty of photos of the board and packaging to them. I still haven't heard from them, and will try again tomorrow. I spoke to the manufacturer and they said it was damaged in shipping. The box was not well packaged, I would say, for a heavy item such as a huge, wooden ironing board. Anyway, I still look forward to using an undamaged ironing board, hopefully through the original supplier, Sewing Parts Online.

Love the large size for pressing my quilt tops!
I love the size and that I can press large pieces without the narrowing that a normal ironing board has. The only thing I’m not liking is that it only has two height positions. I’m 5’2” and the low position is too low and the higher position is too high for me. It needs a height position between the two provided. Other than that I think it is a great addition to my sewing studio.
I like the big board - it is very well built. It is heavier than I expected it would be. The cover for it seems big and I have to figure something out so that it fits tighter and it doesn’t have a little of creases which will get ironed into the fabric.
Very sturdy, love the adjustable height, and the awesome work space! Cost a lot but worth it.
Ohh Heyyy Big Board! :D What a blast. I am a dressmaker, and Big Board has made a fantastic addition to my studio. I am surprised at the difference a sturdy board makes, and I don't miss the curve of my ironing board one bit. Go for it!

Saw the big board before but always sold out...as soon as it hit my inbox as "back in stock" I hit the order button along with the coordinating wool pressing mat. Can press an entire fat quarter or half yard in one quick go AND it's perfect to handle large quilts, etc. Shipped immediately and arrived in perfect condition. Screwed in the 6 screws, set it up and grabbed my iron to break it in! LOVE, love, love them both!
I love the large ironing surface and the stability that I couldn't get with a ironing board mounted big board, but its very heavy. Once I wrestle it up that is where it stays until I can get help. The two height positions are both just a bit too high for me, a third one somewhere in the middle would be better for my standing position and alleviate my wrist strain.
I have waited a long time for this. I am in love with the huge surface to work on. It is heavy so know that in advance.

I was a little put off when it was delivered because of the weight. It’s extremely well-made, really sturdy and exactly what I was looking for as far as the size and shape. I do a lot of quilting so my ironing board stays out a lot. I’m 69 and still pretty strong, but this is quite heavy. Also the 36 inch height is just a tad too tall and the 30 inch height is a little short. However, I’m super happy with it and know it will last until I pass it on. I gave it 4 stars only because of the weight and height options. Otherwise it is an extremely well-made item :) I would definitely recommend it for quilters.

I love the large base that makes it very stable. Heavier than I expected, but it is so handy for sorting pieces and gathering fabrics, as well as ironing, that I don’t think it will be coming down!
The Big Board is very sturdy. Someday I hope to leave it standing but in the meantime it's great that it collapses flat for storage. Easy to assemble and very nice quality. Happy with my purchase!

STURDY!! Great for using my cricut press to flatten completed blocks. The pressing space is nice when working with a pieced top. Especially love the two different heights. Will be purchasing a wool mat to cover the entire space soon.
