Difficult to thread. I've owned other Janomes in my decades of sewing and quilting, so I mistakenly thought it would be more similar to my Sewist or QE. I wanted a simple heavy duty machine for straight-line quilting. I found a YouTube video and will search for more. Back to the manual.
I really like this sewing machine. It’s closer to the machine I had several years ago. The only negative is that I’ve been unable to get the needle automatically threaded. I’ve watched some you tube videos about this. I’m hopeful that I’ll eventually get it right. So glad I purchased this machine!!!
Great heavy duty machine.
The part was exactly as advertised and what I needed. Delivery was efficient.
I was looking for a heavier duty machine that could handle heavier material (I make slipcovers) and also a wide range of other fabrics. I also wanted a machine that is not computerized and does not have a lot of fancy features. This machine fits the bill!
This machine is quiet, perfect for my quilting and sewing needs, and easy to use. I have used it without problems on both light and heavy fabrics. The bobbin winder is the most trouble free I have used. It does everything I need plus some.
It’s ok . Cheaply made just a sign of the times i suppose I’ve been spoiled growing up with truly great machines when things were made with pride and didn’t cost a small fortune I purchased this for it’s simplicity and portability and to teach my son how to sew It’ll do for that purpose but I don’t expect longevity from it

I just purchased this for my SON IN LAW who got the quilting bug from me and my daughter. However, he’s hard on machines! This one is holding up just fine as it’s mostly metal and NOT plastic. He is sewing like crazy getting ready for Christmas.
I received this machine 2 weeks ago. To my disappointment it stopped working. I have tried unsuccessful to get a refund from this company. Their tech even said the machine needs to come back. So beware if you have any problems you will get a hassle and then silence. I only gave one star because you have to in order to remark. I have better luck with amazon or walmart than this company.

This machine is wonderful! Coming from a Singer Heavy Duty that broke, the parts on this are much more solid and sturdy (even the presser feet are well constructed!), and the feed tension is amazing - I can actually sew at high speeds without losing control! I do wish it had a couple more stitches like a serger-esque overlock to 'fake serge' things, but overall a great machine.
Nice machine but was disappointed with the scratches on the body. Called about it and received a discount. Very good people and would recommend to friends.
My only objection to this machine is that is does not have a needle down button so that you do not have to physically put the needle down every time you stop sewing,
