Hello, I order the 5011L -set that comes with a zipper foot. Mine however is different then the one shown here. Does not have left/right place to snap on just one centre snap? how does this work – do I have use zigzag stitch? My sewing machine is kenmore 158.14001 thanks

Hello Rhiannon! It appears that you would have to do a Zig-Zag stitch in order to sew with that zipper foot. I was unable to find any instructions on how to move your needle without changing the stitch. I am sorry I do not have more information for you. I hope this helps!

No using the zig-zag stitch won’t work. All the other parts in this set are fine – just not the zipper foot. I should have bought the Low Shank 15 Piece Foot Kit #5011-LBL.

I just bought the zipper foot, and can not figure out how to change the position of my needle. Can you help?

Hi Robin! Usually you can change the needle position of a straight stitch by adjusting the stitch width. If that doesn’t work, we can try looking up your machine make and model to investigate further.
