In this episode we show you how to sew sequin fabric with some fast tips and tricks. This video is geared towards fabric that has sequin sew on to it, not glued on to it. Fabric with sequin glued on it is sewn just like any fabric, because you can't remove the sequin pieces. If you have fabric is glued on sequin, make sure to use a strong needle and a walking foot. You'll also need some alcohol wipes or nail polish near by to clean the needle as glue accumulates.
Sewing sequin fabric takes a ton of time, but there are some simple tricks to save you time, like only removing sequin within the path of the seam line. You'll always have bald spots to fill in, so you want to either keep your scraps handy or buy loose sequin in the same color.
If you're sewing a sequin garment, expect to sew some kind of lining, as sequin fabric will irritate the wearers skin.
