You can sew this Reversible Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day Table / Bed Runner with our free step-by-step tutorial!

Celebrate Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day with our reversible runner pattern! Use this applique project as a DIY table runner or a bed runner. You can even replicate our pattern to create a throw quilt and matching pillows!

To make the exact table / bed runner featured in this tutorial (approximately 41 1/4" x 18 1/2"), you will need 1 yard of Burgundy Swirls Fabric, Lime Swirls Fabric, 1 yard of Dots Fabric, our free Heart Template, our free Four-Leaf Clover Template, and cotton thread.

Supplies: In addition to your standard sewing supplies, you will need 1 yard of Burgundy Swirls Fabric, Lime Swirls Fabric, 1 yard of Dots Fabric, our free Heart Template, our free Four-Leaf Clover Template, and cotton thread.

*Use a 1/4” seam allowance unless stated differently.

Of White Fabric: 6 - 10” x 9 1/2” blocks, 4 - 36” x 3 1/2” strips, 4 - 19” x 3 1/2” strips

Of Red Fabric: 2 - 35 1/2“ x 2 1/2” strips, 4 - 9 1/2” x 2 1/2” strips 3 hearts

Of Green Fabric: 2 - 35 1/2“ x 2 1/2” strips, 4 - 9 1/2” x 2 1/2” strips 3 clovers

Step 1: Applique 1 heart on 1 white block. Repeat 2x.

Step 2: Sew 9 1/2” x 2 1/2” red strips to appliqued blocks as shown below.

Step 3: Sew red 35 1/2“ x 2 1/2” strips to each side.

Step 4: Sew white 19“ x 3 1/2” strips to each short side. Sew white 36” x 3 1/2” strips to each long side.

Step 5: Repeat steps 1 - 4 using the clovers, remaining white blocks, and green strips.

Step 6: Pin the finished pieces right sides together and sew along all edges. Leave a 4” opening. Turn runner right side out and sew a 1/8” edge stitch along all sides.
