Disney’s Frozen – Elsa Costume Tutorial: Part 1

by Sarah

Be sure to view the Elna Costume Prep List before starting this video series! After some bumps in the road – Part 1 of the Elsa Tutorial is finally finished! Remember, the Elsa Series is specially designed for beginners and covers all the steps from start to finish. We want to help make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible.

With that in mind, we’re starting at the very beginning by prepping a body form, taking measurements, selecting our pattern size, and breaking down the pattern pieces. Will go over the crucial parts of the cutting diagram, as well as some tips on cutting the fabric.

Setting up and cutting the pattern is the most difficult part of sewing and requires the most focus – as it should. Because taking the extra time now will set you up for an overall positive sewing experience.

We apologize for the delay and video image quality – there were a few technical glitches – but Sarah has promised not to play around with the video equipment again and we will have our normal, high definition video back for Part 2.

We hope this video helps the sizing and cutting process go smoothly for you guys – if you have any questions be sure to leave them in the comment section below!

Hi! I’m sorry, we aren’t affiliated with any schools for the hearing impaired.

This looks like the hardest dress to sew. I am going to try. It kinda scares me, so I am counting on you to help if I get stuck.
