Built-in Needle Threader
The Memory Craft 550E features a built-in needle threader, removing the guesswork, near-misses, and frustration! No more struggling to thread a needle by hand! Effortlessly thread your machine needle in seconds without straining your eyes. The needle threader can be used with a size 11 to 14 needle and thread weights between 50 and 90. Using 30-weight or thicker threads with the needle threader is not recommended.
Bobbin Winder
The MC550E includes a built-in bobbin winder with a plate and cutting blade. Plus, it will automatically stop winding once the bobbin is full. This handy tool makes it easier to swap out your bobbins, especially with the bobbin sensor letting you know you are getting low. The top-loading, full rotary hook bobbin can be accessed with the push of a button on the needle plate.
Hoops

I received my new embroidery machine fast. It was packaged well, no dents or open areas. The machine runs smooth and pretty easy to use. Customer service is easy to talk to and if there's a problem they will be glad to help. It was very good price and was on sale. I will buy again!
Janome Memory Craft 550E Limited Edition Embroidery Machine w/ FREE Bonus Bundle
Only had this a week, but I am able to complete in the hoop projects and design my own. I bought it so that I had a bigger hoop without taking out a mortgage. So far I am very satisfied with the hoop size. I don't really feel like I will need a bigger hoop. It seems like it has a good system to do end to end quilting, but I haven't tried it yet. I hope I can do more reviews as I do more with the machine.
This machine is definitely above the rest. I have babylock and also an older janome and i have to say this is amazing. Bigger is better with the hoop that is available. Doing the larger workspace just makes it so much easier to come up with projects.

I received the Janome 550e, not the Janome 550e limited edition I ordered. I was told the limited edition had been discontinued. The machine is lovely and works great. It would have been nice to have been notified of this before I received the machine. It would have eliminated the confusion and phone calls I had to make.

WOW!!! What a nice embroidery machine (MC550LE). It embroiders beautifully and my projects are turning out GORGEOUS!! There are many hoop sizes and that makes it great for larger designs. It is fairly easy to learn how to use but able to advance and learn more. Love It!
